The Advanced Level (Level 4) is designed for students who have a strong foundation in Varnams, Swarajathis, and Talam and are ready to refine their skills for performance-level mastery.

This course focuses on deepening musical expression, strengthening improvisational ability, and expanding repertoire with advanced Kritis and Manodharma techniques. Students will learn how to develop Neraval, Kalpana Swaram, and explore complex rhythmic cycles. A significant component of this level is Ragam, Tanam, Pallavi (RTP), an essential skill for advanced Carnatic musicians.

By the end of this course, students will be able to present structured performances, improvise with confidence, and develop their unique musical style. This course is ideal for students preparing for concerts, certifications, or deeper Carnatic music studies.

  • Advanced Varnams & Swarajathis

    • Singing varnams in three speeds (Vilambakala, Madhyamakala, Drutakala)
    • Applying Gamakas and Raga Bhava in varnams
    • Exploring Swarajathis with intricate tala patterns

    • Learning Kritis of Tyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar, and Shyama Shastri
    • Focus on lyrical expression (Sahitya Bhava) and Raga essence
